AKEA Machining Center

Fully automated processing of profiles and extrusions – sawing, drilling, stamping and contour milling

The AKEA Machining Center is developed for efficient processing of a wide range of parts in steel and aluminum from profiles and extrusions.

The entire process is automatic, from loading in stock length materials to sorting and collecting the finished items. The Machining Center can run unattended for long periods and is safe to run after working hours.

Built to order

Every AKEA Machining Center is built to your specification. Profile dimensions, material type, operation sequence and handling requirements are all defined around your production. There is no catalog to pick from.

BENEFITS

  • Long unattended runs
  • Safe after-hours operation
  • Nesting minimizes material waste
  • Parametric programming
  • Built to spec

OPERATIONS

  • Sawing
  • Drilling
  • Stamping
  • Contour milling
  • 360° profile rotation

How it works in practice

One line, all operations
Sawing, drilling, stamping and contour milling happen in a single continuous process. Parts move through without manual transfers between stations.

Runs while you are not there
The machine is built for extended unattended operation and is safe to run after working hours. Load it up and let it work.

360° access to the profile
The feeder gripper rotates profiles a full 360°, giving the machining station access to all sides without repositioning. The machine handles it.

Nesting keeps waste low
The system plans cuts across multiple orders at the same time, using nesting logic to reduce offcuts and make the most of each stock length.

Programming that makes sense
The parametric interface runs on Windows. Drawing data transfers directly into the system, so programming a new part does not mean starting from scratch. It is designed to be learned quickly and used daily.

Multiple orders, one run
The system manages several part orders simultaneously. No stopping between batches. No manual sorting mid-run.

Automatic from start to finish
Material loads from the magazine automatically. Finished parts are sorted and collected automatically. The operator sets it up and the machine takes it from there.

Configurable for your profiles
Whether you are running standard aluminum extrusions or more complex steel profiles, the machine is configured to match what you actually produce. Profile dimensions, clamping, tooling and handling are all part of the conversation before we build.

Built and supported in Denmark
The machine is designed and built in Thisted. Service, support and spare parts come directly from the engineering team that built it, with no intermediaries.

AKEA Machine

AKEA Machining Center - Metal processing

The machine consists of a 3-axis CNC machining station with a 12-station toolholder, high-speed tool exchange and a CNC miter cutter. The machine is fully configurable with:

  • Automatic loading from magazine
  • Feeder Gripper with 360° profile rotation
  • Automatic sorting and collecting of finished parts

Programming is made easy to learn and use by the Windows-based programming interface. The programming is parametric, where drawing information can be transferred directly to the interface. The system can operate with several part orders at a time and uses nesting facilities to minimize material waste.

The machining center is customer configurable and can be adapted to handle a wide range of aluminum and metal profiles.
