The AKEA GA Upright Series is a range of highly productive, fully automated metal-processing machines with rotating tools. The upright concept provides high flexibility and adjustability, with no need to adjust the height of the part-handling system when changing between different part diameters.

How it works in practice

The upright concept
The GA Upright Series uses rotating tools in an upright configuration. Changing between part diameters needs no height adjustment of the part handling system.

Built for threads
The series is developed for chamfering, peeling and thread rolling on tube, bar and rebar. Automatic part handling is integrated in the machine.

Threads from M12 to M120
Thread rolling runs from M12 up to M120. Material diameters range from ø12mm to ø130mm.

Six process tools
Chamfering, peeling, thread rolling, end machining, drilling and facing. Spindle count is configured to match your processing demands.

Two machines, one system
The machine can be delivered as a double end machine, with two machines connected by the handling system. That allows automatic double end machining on parts up to 12m.

Handling built to suit
A wide range of part handling systems is available depending on what your production needs. Handling is specified alongside the machine, not after it.

Straight from the saw
AKEA has extensive experience with handling systems that take parts directly from automated saws. The saw and the machine work as one flow.

Flexible in daily use
The operator interface is intuitive and easy to operate. Setup time when changing between different products is minimal.

The operator interface is intuitive and easy to use. Setup time when changing between products is minimal. The machine series is developed for chamfering, peeling, and thread-rolling processes on tube, bar, and rebar materials, with automatic part handling integrated.

The machine can also be delivered as a double-end machine, with two machines connected by the handling system. This enables automatic double-end machining of parts up to 12m long. The series is customer-configurable for material diameters from ø12mm to ø130mm, with thread rolling from M12 up to M120.

Depending on customer needs, the machines can be delivered with a wide range of part-handling systems. We also have extensive experience delivering systems that handle parts directly from automated saws. The number of spindles can be configured according to the customer’s processing requirements.
