This Semi-automatic machine is developed for processing tube ends; turning ends, chamfering and thread cutting.

The machine can handle tubes from ø16mm to ø300mm up to 6000mm in length.

How it works in practice

Developed for tube ends
The GEW CNC is built for processing tube ends. Turning ends, chamfering and thread cutting are the operations it was developed around.

The part stays still
The workpiece is held in the vice and does not rotate. The machining is done with rotating tools working against a fixed part.

Large tube handled
The machine takes tubes from ø16mm to ø300mm. Part lengths run from 300mm up to 6000mm.

Semi-automatic in practice
The operator loads the workpiece manually. The machine then performs the machining operations automatically.

Magazine as an option
A magazine and part loader can be fitted to the machine. Loading moves from the operator to the machine where volume justifies it.

One or two spindles
Spindle count runs from 1 to 2 depending on the operations needed. Vices run from 1 to 2.

Output follows the operation
Cycle output depends on which operations the part requires. A single chamfer runs faster than a full turning and threading sequence.

Configured around your parts
The machine is fully configurable to fit your needs, spindle count included. The operator interface is intuitive and setup time between products is minimal.

Made at AKEA in Thisted
The GEW CNC is built at AKEA in Thisted. The workshop that assembles it handles the service afterwards.

The workpieces are loaded manually by an operator, after which the machine automatically performs the machining operations. The workpiece is secured in the vice and does not rotate. The machining operations are performed with rotating tools.

Optionally, the machine can be fitted with a magazine and part loader.

The machine can be fully configured to meet the customer’s requirements, including the number of spindles.

The operator interface is intuitive and easy to use. Setup time when changing between products is minimal.
